Dr. Kiandokht Keyhanian

Board-certified Neurologist
Speciality - Neuroimmunology and Neuro-ophthalmology

Dr. Kiandokht Keyhanian is a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty expertise in neuroimmunology and neuro-ophthalmology, shaped by dual clinical fellowships at Harvard Medical School. This uniquely integrated training—spanning neuro-ophthalmology at Mass Eye and Ear and neuroimmunology at Beth Israel Deaconess—provides her with a rare and comprehensive perspective on the intersection of visual and inflammatory pathways in neurological disease.

Her clinical approach is informed by a uniquely diverse trajectory that began in emergency medicine, where she served as an ER physician after graduating from medical school. This formative experience instilled a deep appreciation for acute neurological presentations and the urgency of timely, precise care—principles that continue to guide her practice today.

Dr. Keyhanian completed her neurology residency and internal medicine internship at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, where she was appointed Chief Resident. Her work integrates the principles of precision medicine, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered care. She is well published in peer-reviewed journals and actively engaged in advancing the field through research, mentorship, and education.
